As a local church situated in a Louisville community, we try to reach into our neighborhood with good deeds and the gospel.

We hold regular evangelism events, we go through local neighborhoods knocking on doors and initiating conversations, we hand out school supplies to local children, and hold regular outdoor church events to which we invite our neighbors. Our other outreach initiatives include:

Breakfast & Bible Study

Every Saturday morning, a group of Kenwood members gather over a light breakfast with members of the surrounding community, including many homeless, to study the Bible.

Nursing Home Ministry

A group of Kenwood members goes to a local community nursing home a couple times each month in order to minister to residents. These members lead a worship service for the residents by singing, praying, and preaching the Word.

Evangelism Events

We host evangelistic events a few times a year that are open to the community and to anyone who wants to come. We invite friends, neighbors, coworkers, and everyone to come hear a speaker talk on how a relevant topic intersects with the good news of Jesus. Past topics have ranged from addiction to Harry Potter.
