To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth.

The youth ministries at Kenwood grow out of our commitment to aid families in the task of discipling their children and doing all we can, by teaching and example, to commend the gospel of Christ to them.

To this end, we offer a variety of ministries for our youth-age students:

Youth Girls Retreat

The first of its kind
This fall the youth girls will have a unique opportunity to spend a day growing in relationship with their friends and leaders while discussing and thinking about God’s hand on their life.

Teens: Years That Matter

Saturday, September 12 from 9:00am-2:30pm
Speakers: Christe Marshall & Courtney Williams
Art Workshop provided by Kellen Peck.
Location: Home of Tracey Gaslin; all sessions and activities will be conducted outside

COVID-19 Consideration at the Retreat

The following guidelines will be followed during the retreat:

– When possible, keep six feet apart
– Wear masks when walking around and when six feet apart cannot be maintained
– Refrain from physical contact
– Use hand sanitizer frequently
– All food served with be individually packaged
– All activities will happen outside

Youth Group

Ages 10 years through high school
The youth group meets for a time of teaching on Wednesday nights. They also prioritize outreach and spend time in fellowship.
Every other Wednesday at 6:30pm

Youth Sunday School

Ages 10 years through high school
Each Sunday, this group meets to study God’s Word and what it means to live God-honoring lives.
Sundays at 9:30am (not currently meeting due to COVID-19.)


Youth Leadership

Joshua & Liz Reichard
Leading Kenwood youth since 2016. Both enjoy doughnuts, being outside, reading Harry Potter, and being awesome. They also have an adorable daughter.

Dustin Brown
Leading Kenwood youth since 2018. Dustin spends his free time hiking, grabbing coffee with friends, reading, and even playing board games with his buddy who is nearly impossible to beat!
