Deacons are on the front line of ministry at Kenwood Baptist Church. They gladly serve the members of the church, taking care of their spiritual and their physical needs. Our deacons lead the church in community service and outreach as well.
Some of the many ways our deacons serve the church and surrounding community are by offering English as a Second Language and Bible classes to Nepali refugees in the area, leading outreaches at the University of Louisville, worship services at a local nursing home, partnering with Lost Sheep ministries in providing help and the Good News to the needy in the South End, reaching out to teens at Iroquois high school and park, speaking for the unborn during Friday morning sidewalk counseling at the Louisville abortion clinic, raising support for church families adopting children internationally, repairing and cleaning the church building, teaching Sunday School or children’s classes, and organizing accountability groups among the men in the church.
