ESL Ministry Drivers
We can always use drivers to help transport those in our community to the Sunday morning and Wednesday night English as a Second Language classes. Please see Matt Pierce if you are able to help.
Stroke Screening
On Friday, September 10 Life Line Screening will be at Kenwood Baptist Church to offer community outreach vascular disease screening tests. There will be four life saving tests offered and the cost is reduced to less than $50 for each test ($129 for all four). Call 1-800-679-5609 for info and appointments. They do expect to completely fill up, so appointments for the screenings are required.
Marriage Conference
New Heights Baptist Church at 7315 Southside Drive will be hosting a free marriage conference titled “Honoring God’s Design for Marriage in Every Season of Life.” It will take place Friday, Sept 17 from 7-9:45 pm and Saturday, Sept 18 from 9 am – 12 pm. Dr. Heath Lambert is the conference speaker. The sessions are intended to be beneficial for all married couples, whether they have been married for two weeks or 50 years. It should also be beneficial for those that are currently single — either in preparation for potentially being married one day, and/or in order to learn how to better pray for and encourage those that are married.
International Friends, Food and Fun
Sept 25 at 11:30 am there will be a potluck lunch and ice breaker game time intended to help build relationships between local international friends and Kenwood members. Please plan to join us!
Christianity Explained
A study of the book of Mark will take place Sept 21, 28, Oct 12, 19, Nov 2 and 9 at 6:30pm at the Frantz home. Invite friends and coworkers who are open to hearing more about the gospel! Please see Mike Frantz or Ross Shannon with questions.
